Background :
HPS1, also named as Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome 1 protein, is a 700 amino acid protein, which is a component of multiple cytoplasmic organelles. HPS1 is Apparently crucial for their normal development and function and involved in intracellular protein sorting.HPS1 is involved in the biogenesis of early melanosomes.
